Speaker Services

Rebecca Long Chaney is a mother, ranch wife, book author, inspirational speaker, substitute teacher and 4-H livestock judging coach. Her stories of life in the Australian Outback; raising twin daughters; relocating to the middle of nowhere in Nebraska; and following her dreams will captivate audiences wherever she goes.  Becky's charm and "down home" wit are a perfect match for women's groups, business clubs and agricultural conferences. Becky's keynote, "Dare to Risk Life Change," is a journey of life's trials and tribulations, successes and failures and risks and blessings. Her story introduces audiences to life on a remote cattle station in the Australian Outback, living in a hut and lighting a fire every day for a warm shower and how that life experience helped her and her husband, Lee, make one of the most difficult decisions of their lives — relocating 1,400 miles from their family and friends and settling into their new home in America's Heartland.

Becky's newer PowerPoint presentation, "If Five Year Olds Can Do It, So Can You," is an empowering message to help farmers and ranchers "Better Tell Their Story." With more and more challenges facing the agricultural community, it's more important than ever for every farmer and rancher to do something to help tell Ag's story.

Touting themselves as “Agricultural Warriors,” Rebecca, Rianna and Sheridan are proud they have been taking their message on the road since the girls were five years old. Since 2009, the Chaneys have visited dozens of schools, libraries and fairs reaching thousands of students. Their interactive 45-minute agricultural presentation had Thurmont Primary School students dubbing them the “Cow Family.”

Growing in their agricultural knowledge and speaking skills, the girls are more than willing to attend a program and share their story. In June, 2014, Rianna and Sheridan, accompanied their Mom to a speaking event in Laramie, Wyoming. Both girls gave their 4-H Public Speaking speech to 200 attending the Albany County Farm Bureau Banquet where they focused on their beef projects. They are proud 5th generation farmers, love to talk about agriculture, and have a deep faith and kind hearts.

This Empowering message will help farmers and ranchers "Tell Their Story." Through the positive experiences Rebecca and her twin daughters have enjoyed as educational agricultural warriors, she has developed a toolkit of strategies to help farmers and ranchers promote their farms, their products and agriculture in general.

The presentation also enlightens farmers and ranchers about some organizations working against agriculture and reinforces why it is critical to work together, at a grassroots level, to educate all Americans about where their food and fiber come from.

“Becky really holds an audience and keeps them wanting more. The personal stories are humorous and allow you to feel like you really know Becky and Lee on a personal level. Her presentations are interesting for all ages and backgrounds.”

“The Agricultural Women’s Leadership Network, which includes ladies from across the United States, met in Washington D.C. for a Leadership Forum and were not only entertained, but inspired as Becky shared her views, her responsibilities, laughter, tears and the very serious side of life in the Australian Outback. What a great job of presenting her humorous experiences and motivational skills to those of us who want to make life better and make a difference.”

- Ardath DeWall,

American Agri-Women's Association, Illinois

"One of our Badgerland Farm Credit Services members read "Bulldust in My Bra" (the first book he has read in years), thoroughly enjoyed it, and suggested that we get you to speak at our annual meeting. The audience thoroughly enjoyed your description of the life-changing year you and Lee spent working in the Australian Outback. Your sincere story reminded all of us to follow our dreams, even if it means taking risks and coping with changes.”
